A Ho Chi Minh City well-known cultural and tourist event is expected to preserve and enhance the outstanding tradition and culture value of Vietnamese national costumes, as well as cultivate the citizens’ love of Vietnamese “Ao Dai”. Moreover, this event would attract more domestic and international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City.

Moreover, this event would attract more domestic and international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City.
With the objectives of contribute to preserving and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of national costumes, cultivating the love of the people of the Ho Chi Minh city with Vietnamese Ao Dai, The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism are planning to organize the The 7th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2020 which is scheduled October 2020. The Festival will include a series of events and activities, such as the Ao Dai show, Ao Dai Inspirational programs; The Contest "Charming Ao Dai Ho Chi Minh City 2020", seminars… The series of events will contribute to promote and value the traditional costumes in contemporary context, to engage young people in safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage and to facilitate the inter-cultural dialogues for the respect and promotion of culture diversity.
Through its six organisations, the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has affirmed that the event is the biggest Ao Dai festival in Viet Nam, a prominent cultural and tourist event of the Ho Chi Minh City which honours the beauty of traditional costumes, contributes to preserving and promoting national cultural identity, as well as the destination of Viet Nam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular to domestic and foreign tourists.
